Home Buying in 4 Steps

  • There are serveral things you can do to prepare for home ownership including:

    • Connect with a realtor (ME!)

    • Sit down with your realtor to discuss your goals, wants, and needs. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have about becoming a homeowner!

    • I’ll help connect you with a mortgage lender specific your needs.

    • Get pre-approval from mortgage lender to begin our home search. You lender will look at your credit history, work history, debt to income and assets.

    • First-time homebuyer? There are options and programs out there that assist in down payment and closing costs, so it isn’t always necessary to have a ton of cash on hand for closing.

  • What are your nonnegotiables in your next home? Think deal breakers. School district, backyard, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, location, etc.

    Now, think wants for your new home. AKA, what would you like to see but it wouldn’t make or break the house? Laundry room sink, covered back patio, no carpet in bedrooms, etc.

  • We’ll walk you through the whole process, handing all negotiations and communication and placing your offer on your behalf. We also help you secure inspections, appraisals, and home warranties. During this time, your lender will be working on the underwriting process and getting you “cleared to close”.

  • We’ll head to the title company to sign all the official documents and hand over the keys! YAY! Talk about a celebration! We’ll visit the house for photos, take it all in, and I’ll make sure you and your family enjoy every moment with some special surprises!
